Málaga–Costa del Sol Airport handled more than 26.7 million passengers in 2025, its busiest year to date. For Marbella’s international residents, that scale is not an abstract tourism statistic. It is part of what makes a second home usable across seasons and a permanent home connected to work, family and culture elsewhere.
Yet regional connectivity is only half the journey. The last kilometres—from the coastal road into a neighbourhood and from its entrance to the house—shape the rhythm of every arrival. A beautiful property reached through awkward circulation or exposed to constant traffic carries a daily compromise that photographs rarely reveal.
Site evaluation should therefore include access at different hours and times of year. Gradient, turning space, visitor arrival, deliveries and the relationship between vehicles and the front door all deserve design attention. In hillside locations, this is often where the plan either becomes graceful or starts accumulating expensive corrections.
A good arrival slows the world down. Parking is resolved without dominating the façade; the entrance is legible without being theatrical; landscape edits the view before the interior reveals it fully. Connectivity brings you to Marbella, but architecture should make the final minute feel like arrival.
